Micromon has partnered with Melbourne-based company SI Systems to offer a range of bioinformatic support options tailored to your research needs. Together we can scope, plan, budget, execute and analyse your next-generation sequencing requirements as a tightly integrated package - from start to finish. Analyses include genome assembly, transcriptome assembly, exome analysis, non-coding RNA analysis, SNP detection and reporting, metagenomics, differential gene expression analysis/transcriptomics, pathway and gene ontology analysis, analysis pipeline construction and custom analysis design. If you're familiar with Next-Generation Sequencing, simply tells us what you need. If you're unfamiliar with the technology, or just unsure, then call us to make an appointment with Micromon and SI Systems staff to translate your biological questions into sequencing and bioinformatic solutions.

Are you interested in learning how to display genomic data as simply as possible (but not any simpler), to ensure impact and insight? Making figures from data is difficult. We’ve all made complex data figures—but some of them are more effective than others. The webinar will help you identify useful practices in creating data graphics, with a focus on the underlying principles, guidelines and style. This special educational webinar is from the data visualisation expert who created the Circos and other iconic data plots used in genomics and across many fields. Brought to you by our friends at Illumina and VLSCI.

Micromon is happy to announce that we have quadrupled the the number of samples that you can include in a single sequencing run from 96 up to 384! This could mean big savings for projects such as microbial population profiling (16S survey sequencing), amplicon sequencing and small genoome sequencing.

Recently, we have recently launched a suite of products for microbial community profiling using marker gene such as 16S (bacteria), 18S (eukaryotes) and ITS (fungal). This service has already attracted a lot of interest, mostly in bacterial 16S survey sequencing. We can use our standard optimised primers, or primers of your own design. These can target any genetic locus, not just those mentioned above. All of our community profiling services are offered on the Illumina MiSeq platform, providing high quality, high yield, low cost and fast turn-around.

For more details, visit our Microbial Community Profiling application page, or Contact us now for a quote and to discuss how you could use our microbial community profiling service in your research program.
