Microbial population studies now availble Print E-mail

Recently, we have recently launched a suite of products for microbial community profiling using marker gene such as 16S (bacteria), 18S (eukaryotes) and ITS (fungal). This service has already attracted a lot of interest, mostly in bacterial 16S survey sequencing. We can use our standard optimised primers, or primers of your own design. These can target any genetic locus, not just those mentioned above. All of our community profiling services are offered on the Illumina MiSeq platform, providing high quality, high yield, low cost and fast turn-around.

Micromon Launches HiSeq2500 Service Print E-mail

We are pleased to announce the commencement of our new HiSeq2500 sequencing service! The new HiSeq service extends our HiSeq2000 service, and also complements our existing Sanger and MiSeq instrumentation. The main benefit: very rapid turn-around time!
 
Based on Illumina's proven TruSeq Sequencing by Synthesis chemistry, the HiSeq2500 allows us to produce larger amounts of data much more rapidly than ever before. Our MiSeq has enabled smaller projects to be completed quickly, but it's capacity is suited primarily to smaller bacterial, viral or amplicon-based projects. The capacity of the new instrument enables larger projects (either larger genomes/transcriptomes, or larger numbers of samples) to be completed in just a few weeks. 
 
 
 
A New Sequencing Service - HiSeq2000 Print E-mail

We are pleased to announce the commencement of our new HiSeq sequencing service! The new HiSeq service will complement our existing Sanger and MiSeq instrumentation to allow us to fulfill sequencing orders of any size - from single amplicons to complex eukaryotic genomes and transcriptomes... and everything in between! 
 
Based on Illumina's proven TruSeq Sequencing by Synthesis chemistry, the HiSeq allows us to produce larger amounts of data than ever before. The capacity of the new instrument enables larger projects (either larger genomes/transcriptomes, or larger numbers of samples) to be completed much more cost-effecively, with a dramatic drop in the price per base. The HiSeq instrument itself is capable of generating up to 600Gb of sequence data per run from 6 billion reads with as good or better accuracy than our current next-generation sequencing services.
